What can you see in London?

Big Ben- one of the best known things in London. The big bell is inside the tower with the big clock. The tower is called „St.Elizabeth Tower” and is next to the Houses of Parliament on the banks of the river Thames.

London Eye- it is a very big observation wheel. It has capsules that you can ride in to see an aerial view of London.  It is on the banks of the  Thames.

Tower Bridge- the most famous bridge in the UK. It is a suspension bridge that opens and closes to let large boats travel on the Thames. It was built in 1800s.

Tower  of London- it is on the bank of the river. It is nearly 1000 years old. It was a prison, a zoo, an armoury, and the Royal Mint. Thera are Crown Jewels here now. It is open to public.

Buckingham Palace- where the Queen lives. This huge palace is the home of Royal family. It is a very large building with a fence and guards.

Hyde Park – it is a very famous park. The area is mainly olpen grassland with some large trees. People organise parades and demonstrations in Hyde Park.

The British Museum-  it is a famous museum in London. There are exhibitions from Ancient Egypt- mummies, sarcophagi and Egyptian jewellery.

Oxford Street- this street is famous for its shopping. The most famous shop in the Street is Selfridges. It is a huge department store that was established over 100 years ago.

Natural History Museum- beautiful museum. It has  carved animals and plants . the museum is full of  animals and models of animals. One of the most popular parts of the museum is the dinosaur exhibit.
